French news reports that police officers in the largely foreign Parisian suburb of St Denis were ambushed by a group of 20 individuals who had prepared for the encounter. The police were met with 'projectiles', having to deploy their own in response:
To defend themselves, the police used several shots of LBD 40 (launcher of defense balls), as well as two tear gas grenades. The arrival of reinforcements made it possible to stem the attackers. The BAC police car was slightly damaged but no injuries were reported by the police.
Note that this follows a
recent attack on a police station in the same district.
