The mainstream media is awfully quiet about riots in South Africa that have claimed the lives of five immigrants. The Daily Mail reports that local blacks have been targeting foreigners in a wave of violence that has forced a heavy police presence at stores and other locations.
From the Daily Mail story:
"More than 200 immigrants had to take refuge in a police station and dozens of businesses were closed when trouble spread just a day after a rally against xenophobia in Durban. Immigrants have complained about a lack of protection from the authorities and some have started arming themselves to fight back."
Compare this to the hyperbolic statements about migrants being 'hunted' in Chemnitz. A single video of a single person chasing somebody else down the street, and the mainstream media can't stop talking about it. South Africa erupts in actual violence and we don't hear of international organizations condemning anti-immigrant violence or rhetoric.
